Today proved to be a bad day for Indian stock markets as Infosys reported a positive but below expected results for Q4 2011. Stock price took a sharp hit as the share price was down by more than 9 percent trading at around 2988. The software services exporter posted a net profit of Rs. 6,823 crore for the financial year ended March 2011 and Rs. 1,818 crore for the March quarter.

One more dampener for the markets was inflation for the month of March that exceeded the target of 8% set by RBI that raised the expectations of further rate hikes. WPI Inflation in March is pegged at 8.98% as compared 8.31 percentage in February 2011. These two factors together pulled Sensex by 310 points.

One more significant news that will have a bearing on the company's future was that there is gonna be a drastic change in management of company as human resources chief TV Mohandas Pai has resigned from the board effective from June 11. Pai is working with Infosys since 1994. Moreover, one of the co founders of the company K. Dinesh will also be retiring by June 11.

in 103 countries have been hacked. Hacked systems invclude that of the Dalai Lama.
This is the first time that a cyber spy network of this size has been unveiled which is supposed to be stealing sensitive information from governments and private organisations in more than 100 countries.

This spy system, dubbed as GhostNet, has infiltrated networks in dozens of embassies, foreign ministries, government departments and offices in several cities belonging to the Dalai Lama's Tibetan government-in-exile. It is worth noting that this network seems to be almost entirely controlled by Chinese servers.

It all started with Dalai Lama's office approaching the Munk Centre for International Studies on suspicion of Chinese espionage. According to reports, the hackers were controlled computers belonging to several foreign ministries and embassies across the world using malware which is so powerful that apart from hunting for sensitive files, it is able turns camera and audio-recording functions on, enabling monitors to see and hear what goes on in a room.

Honda has launched all new gearless scooter Activa and announced that it will no more make gear scooter like Eterno. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the fully owned Indian subsidiary of the Japanese firm, further said that it it will be increasing its share in the motorcycle segment.

The new Activa is priced at around Rs. 39,800 ex-showroom and comes with 110 cc engine. It comes with 15 per cent increased margin compared to its earlier version. Reportedly, the 150cc model Eterno was selling only about 40,000 units a year, so company is phasing out this model.

The new Honda Activa will be able to to give 55kmpl average in city. The company is very optimistic about this new model as it hopes to sell 5.50 lakh new Activa in 2009-10 and looking at a growth of 18 per cent in its two-wheeler sales in the same year.

A Federal Express cargo plane crashed while landing at Narita International Airport, Tokyo. There were only two people on the board its pilot and co-pilot. Both of them died in the crash the company confirmed.
